Flight to Aswan

We had a 3am wake up call on the morning of June 1!

The airport was very crowded and we had well over thirty people to get through the various check in points. Once through, while some of us were standing around waiting, I noticed that my wallet was gone! Oh, no. That is a very scary feeling. With the perceived total confusion at the check in point where they x-ray your bags I chose to carry my boarding pass, wallet and passport through the gateway with me. My wallet was between the passport and boarding pass, so must have slipped out of my hands.

Egypt, ready to board a plane and no money, license or credit cards. I began to descend into panick when Robin suggested that we check the station where I went through security. There, sitting on the table next to the guy watching the screen was my wallet! Wow. I was surprised, relieved and thrilled that someone had noticed it and put it aside for me. The care and kindness of people is universal. This was the start of the trip and there was a lot of spending money in my wallet, all was completely untouched.
