Just home from Egypt!

Hi,
I just got home from my first trip to Egypt. This was the catalyst needed to push me into the blogger world. A few friends keep these and I've enjoyed keeping up with their lives this way, but never felt that I have the time to keep one. Indeed I definitely don't have the time. However, these pictures need to be shared with my friends and family...so, here I am!

p.s. This is me at Pompey's Column, 292 A.D., in Alexandria, Egypt. During the middle ages this site was believed to be the location of General Pompey's tomb (Seidel & Schulz 48). How appropriate since the last vacation I took was to Pompeii, Italy! Some say this column represents the "triumph of Christianity" (Seidel & Schulz 48). I don't know about that, especially since Egypt is about 90% Muslim. Personally, I'm not much of a Christian, despite my name. I do, however, feel a sort of triumph at this stage of my life. For me, having my picture taken at the column is pretty damn triumphant!
