Two examples of Raku:
The first is a covered jar with multiple overlapping glazes and sections left unglazed to absorb the smoke. The white is a gentle crackle glaze.
The second is titled "Ritual." Raku is not food safe and due to it's low firing temperatures remains porous (is not water tight). This piece is assembled from four hand thrown and trimmed parts, bottle, cup and thrown rings
. It boasts both naked (no glaze) and multiple overlapping glazes including a lovely copper glaze at the neck of the bottle.
